LOOPHOLE LEVEL (2026)
A poor-man’s 2001: A Space Odyssey meets game arcade meets financial critique on the level of a ten-year-old meets Baudelaire’s spleen via synth-wave music meets ephemeral internet memes preserved in physical neon and hand-painted Earth golf balls ready to ricochet into our fragile future.

The Maurice Ravel Auditorium in Lyon became the brutalist polygon for golfing in this custom level of the game Golf Club: Nostalgia (*Golf Club: Wasteland) in collab with Demagog Studio.
The installation for the Lyon Biennale an alt controller (collab with Julia Makivic), EARTHMAXXING neon, 27 hand-painted Earth golf balls (two went missing during previews), and music created with Mina Špiler and Shane Berry (“The World Ended on a Sunny Day”). Peppered with allusions to Charles Baudelaire and neons such as SMURFING, LOOPHOLE, DIGIDOPAMINE and VIBECESSION, the level connects finance with play and “gaming the system.”
The alt controller evokes a mix of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Cold War, and an arcade game. In the nuclear age, the control room with its buttons and interfaces has become the most important design/architectural space.
Each reload of the level starts with a different quote, one of which is from Chris Marker’s Sans Soleil: “For the moment, the inseparable philosophy of our time is contained in the Pac-Man.”
